Who We Are
The Conference of Asian American Professionals, popularized as CAAPS, was founded in August 2016 to support locally-owned businesses. Today, CAAPS represents many restaurants & retail businesses through advocacy, business support, resources, access to capital, government contracting, and events.
What We Do
Signature Events
CAAPS hosts 3 signature events every year that supports our sponsors, members, and supporters.
Legislative Reception
The CAAPS Legislative Reception hosts the Capital Regions elected officials in February annually. It is one of the largest legislative events in the region, hosting more than 20 elected officials in 2026.
Awards Gala
The Annual CAAPS Awards Gala recognizes the the most prominent business leaders, community leaders, and executives for their success in this region.
Lantern Festival & Music Fest
The annual Lantern Fest + Music Fest brings together thousands of attendees in support of cultural diversity, highlighting the API Mid-Autumn Celebration, and support local business vendors.
